John Hackett

John Hackett studied Music at Sheffield University where he was taught flute by Paul Chapman and subsequently took lessons from Edward Beckett and David Butt.

As an original member of Steve Hackett's band, John regularly toured the USA and Europe and appears on several of Steve's albums. He later became a member of the English Flute Quartet, performing with them at the Purcell Room.

He has accompanied Steve on several acoustic tours, including a sell-out concert at the Barbican. More recent concerts with Steve and Roger King have taken him to Italy, Malta, Tokyo and Budapest.

His music has been heard both on TV and Radio, particularly with the ambient group Symbiosis.
